GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A driver is facing multiple charges after police say the operator a vehicle involved in a crash in Greenfield fled the scene. According to Deerfield Police, they spotted that vehicle near the South Deerfield Fire Station at about 6:30 pm Thursday.
The vehicle failed to stop for police and entered Interstate 91 South in Whately, eventually stopping at the rest area in Whately. Police say the suspect then fled on foot, but was captured shortly thereafter by the State Police K-9. The suspect, who has not been identified, was arrested and transferred to Greenfield Police.
