GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A Greenfield man is facing numerous charges related to an alleged hit-and-run accident in downtown Greenfield Saturday evening.
48-year-old Troy Davis was arrested after a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Federal Street and Wilson Avenue in Greenfield. Police responded to the scene at 6:43 p.m. Saturday. Police said Davis fled the scene in his vehicle, later crashing it into a pole on Davis Street.
Police arrested Davis on Hope Street in Greenfield. Davis is being charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury, driving with a suspended license, assault and battery on a police officer, among other charges.
The driver of the other vehicle, a Greenfield man, was taken by ambulance to Baystate Franklin Medical Center and later transferred to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, where he remains hospitalized.
