GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Some unexpected but welcome news came Wednesday morning for Greenfield motorists. The Nash’s Mill Road project to install a 12-inch water main was completed Tuesday afternoon, more than three weeks ahead of schedule.

Nash’s Mill Road, which had been closed weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., is now fully open to traffic, which will relieve some of the increased traffic in the western part of the city.

The new water main will provide critical support for the water supply in the meadows area.
