WHATELY, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — On Tuesday evening, a brush fire broke out on Old State Road near the Whately/South Deerfield town line just before 6 p.m. The fire had been approaching the railroad tracks and nearby structures before crews were able to contain it.
