ORANGE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — UPDATE: East Main Street in Orange reopened Saturday evening after closing the day prior for emergency repairs when a sewer pipe broke, causing a sinkhole. 

UPDATE: The portion of East Main Street affected by the sinkhole, between Water and Grove Streets, is now closed entirely. Town officials do not have a timeline on when the road will be reopened. All traffic driving west is being asked to utilize Mechanic Street to Clark Ave to North Main Street.

Reports came in Friday morning of a possible sinkhole on East Main Street in Orange. Orange Police have confirmed the one lane of East Main Street is closed from Cumberland Farms to Grove Street. Officials say the entire road may need to be closed for the necessary repairs.
