ORANGE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Budget talks continue in Orange after the town voted against a Proposition 2 1/2 override to raise an additional $1.4 million to fund the town’s FY26 budget.
After impassioned discussion at last night’s Town Meeting continuation, the Finance Committee will be meeting today to discuss the possibility of using free cash to retain potential layoffs.
The Town Meeting will continue again this evening at 7 p.m. in the Mahar Auditorium to vote on the proposed budget.
