(Greenfield, MA) Greenfield is trying to ease the economic burden on restaurants and dining establishments during the COVID-19 pandemic Restaurants with existing liquor licenses have begun legally serving outside on June 8. Establishments without existing liquor licenses, however, can now go through the Mayor without an application fee. Alcohol can now be served on public side walks, and the licensing for outdoor seating and dining has been stream lined through the Mayor to shorten the process. The city is also perusing the Shared Streets and Spaces Grant to create dining spaces in some city owned locations. Anyone interested in taking advantage of these new licensing rules should contact the Office of the Mayor or the Licensing Office at 413-772-1580, or email lori.krikorian@greenfield-ma.gov.
