MONTAGUE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Montague Selectboard is discussing potential ways to meet budget needs for the next fiscal year, including raising waste disposal fees. Currently, the town foresees a nearly $600,000 deficit in the FY2028 budget which could be met with an increased trash and barrel sticker fee, the first rate increase in 19 years.
