AMHERST, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A woman was allegedly grabbed by the neck and strangled near a UMass Amherst fraternity on Friday. UMass has previously suspended recognition of the Theta Chi fraternity in 2025 and the house now falls under the jurisdiction of local law enforcement.
