BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — On Monday, the Healey-Driscoll Administration awarded nearly $1 million to permanently protect 430 acres of forest reserves in Belchertown, Huntington and Wendell.

80 acres are being designated as “forever wild” in Wendell’s Bullard Ridge Reserve, adding to the 11,000 acres of protected lands in the Wendell State Forest, Orange State Forest, and the Warwick State Forest.
