(Greenfield, MA) — Parts of north Greenfield were without power for much of Tuesday after a car from a livery company knocked down a utility pole near the intersection of Silver Street and Eastern Avenue. No passengers were in the American Knight Transportation vehicle when the crash occurred late Tuesday morning. The driver was not hurt, but the impact of the crash sheared a utility pole in half and knocked out power to about 126 customers in the area. The accident remains under investigation.
