(Greenfield, MA) — The expected sale of a Greenfield bus garage will have to wait a little while longer. The Greenfield City Council last night tabled a motion to declare the current FRTA bus garage on Deerfield Street surplus property. The designation would have paved the way for the GMTA, which owns the building, to sell it to a prospective buyer. Some councilors felt there was not enough information regarding the potential sale, specifically as it relates to whether the current lease would be part of the deal. The council is expected to reopen debate on the matter in August.
