NEW SALEM, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A 26-year-old man was killed in a one-vehicle crash in New Salem early Friday morning.
According to Northwestern District Attorney spokeswoman Melissa Sippel, crews responded to the scene at 100 Blackinton Road at around 5:00 a.m. for a reported one-vehicle crash.
A southbound truck crossed into the northbound lane and then left the road, hitting a utility pole, according to the statement from the DA’s office.
The driver, the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the driver has not been released. The investigation into the crash continues.
