ORANGE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Orange Police Chief, James Sullivan, is proposing a new bylaw pertaining to encampments on town-owned land. Sullivan reviewed recent regulations put in place in Greenfield and found that a bylaw would require a permit for any type of camping. The problem area has been defined as Butterfield Park, where people have been known to sleep in the baseball dugouts.
