The FRTA made the decision to not be in operation on Monday due to the snowstorm. The Olver Transit Center and administrative office will also be closed on Monday.

According to the Northfield Police Department, Maple Street/Gulf Road and South Mountain Road are closed to through traffic

Snowfall and deteriorating road conditions resulted in a rollover accident on Interstate 91 North in Greenfield.

The biggest and most impactful storm in several years is predicted to hit our area Sunday, with snowfall in excess of one foot expected before the storm winds down on Monday.

A Warming Center has been opened in Greenfield in advance of the biggest storm of the winter season to date.

Public forums are coming up on February 7th at 2 p.m. and February 12th at 6 p.m. for Leverett’s Field Building, the Leverett Family Museum and old library.
