(Greenfield, MA) — The recent problems at Greenfield High School were a major topic of conversation at Wednesday night’s school committee meeting, as parents, teachers and even a few students shared tales of violent incidents and general unrest which some say is making people feel unsafe. New School Superintendent Christine Debarge said the administration is aware of the problem and is doing what it can to address the situation, despite a limited number of available staff and other factors. Greenfield Deputy Police Chief Bill Gordon says department personnel have responded to the school at least 14 times since the start of the year to deal mostly with reports of unruly students.
