GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Greenfield Police Department will be participating in an accreditation renewal assessment.
Members of the Massachusetts Accreditation Commission will be visiting the department between May 19th and May 21st to assess the 257 mandatory standards and 125 optional standards.
Of the 125 optional standards, 55% must be met in addition to all mandatory standards for the department to have their accreditation status renewed.
The Massachusetts Police Accreditation Program is a voluntary process to recognize law enforcement professional excellence.
