NORTHFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Northfield’s Annual Town Meeting will be held this evening, Monday, May 5th at 7 p.m. in the Pioneer Valley Regional School’s Auditorium with the Town Election to follow on Tuesday in the Town Hall.

At tonight’s meeting, voters will decide on a $4.83 million operating budget and $5.7 million in education expenses. Residents will also be voting on whether the town should petition the state to allow Fire Chief Floyd Dunnell III to stay in service until his 73rd birthday in August of 2026. 

In Tuesday’s Town Election, Northfield residents will elect seventeen open offices.
