63 year-old victim comes forward with sexual abuse claims against former DA teacher

DEERFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A six-figure settlement has been reached for one of the sexual abuse victims of Deerfield Academy’s former teacher Peter Hindle.

The victim is 63 years old and shared details of their abuse with their physician nearly fifty years after the incidents took place.

Several other victims of Hindle have come forward and have reached settlements with the school. And Hindle isn’t the only target of the abuse claims, another staff member was accused of sexual abuse in 2023 and a settlement was also reached in that case.
