BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Senator Jo Comerford and Representative Natalie Blais have filed and passed into law, new legislation that forms a Grid Modernization Advisory Council that will be working to make a more resilient and affordable electric grid.

The Council is working on Electric-Sector Modernization Plans to make the grid more accessible for new renewable energy sources to come on board, promoting energy storage solutions, accommodate more electric building and transportation, and to minimize or mitigate impacts on ratepayers.
