GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is co-leading a coalition of 23 attorneys general and governors in suing the Trump Administration after $6.8 billion in education funding was withheld from states.

In Massachusetts, $107 million in funding was frozen, halting expected funding for various programs including before and after school programs, adult literacy education, special education services, and teacher training programs.

State officials say the federal government gave notice one day before the funding was expected by email to state education departments.
