BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Department of Unemployment Assistance will be temporarily adjusting their call center hours, beginning this Friday, August 1st to improve their claim processing system.
Currently the call center hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but beginning Friday, the hours will be Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Online, in-person, and over the phone self-service options will all remain the same.
This is the beginning of a three month pilot program to more quickly process ID verification, work separation issues, and wage verification, among 0thers. DUA staff will work steadily on claim processing on Fridays and at the end of the three month pilot, the department will reassess.
