ATHOL, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — NewVue Housing’s project at 129 Allen Street in Athol has been awarded $325,000 from the Healey-Driscoll Adminstration’s Brownfields Redevelopment Fund.
The Fund is helping redevelop 20 contaminated sites for new development and preserving of housing units across the state with $6.5 million in awards.
In Athol, the 3.16 acre site will produce 53 units of mixed-income housing for seniors and families from former elementary school buildings as well as a new construction.
