ATHOL, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Athol’s Silver Lake has been closed for swimming due to  high levels of E. coli bacteria. The Athol Selectboard also shared in their announcement of the closure, that the National Night Out event planned in Athol for Tuesday would be continuing as normal.
