MONTAGUE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Montague’s Selectboard has approved the warrant articles for the October 22nd Special Town Meeting.
The warrant will include a citizen’s petition for a resolution “declaring the town of Montague to be an apartheid-free community” in response to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.
Also, on the agenda will be two votes related to the redevelopment of the former site of the Farren Memorial Hospital. One will ask residents to vote on forming a new Village Center Mixed-Use District and the second vote will be to authorize the Selectboard to take control of the property for redevelopment purposes.
