(Boston, MA) The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection has released their newly proposed regulations under the Wetlands Protection Act to protect communities and infrastructure from increasingly severe storms and flooding, as inland flooding has been identified as the most significant climate hazard in the state. The regulations are updating the data used for precipitation, replacing the 1961 data currently used, and promoting resiliency through nature-based Green Site Design.
