(Amherst, MA) — There will be no tuition increase at UMass next year, if the university’s president has his way. UMass President Marty Meehan is recommending that the university’s Board of Trustees freeze tuition for in-state undergraduates for the academic year beginning in September. If approved, it would be the second straight year of a tuition freeze in the 75,000-student system.
