(Boston, MA) – The Baker Administration has announced an initiative to bring broadband internet to low-income residents in Massachusetts. The Mass Broadband Institute at Mass Tech is working with the state owned network and local internet service providers to offer high speed WiFi hot spots to under-served cities and towns. The connections will be offered for free, and will be centrally located at community facilities. Clear social distancing guidelines will be posted for individuals using these hot spots, the location of which will be tracked by the Massachusetts Broadband Institute and can that information can be found here.
