GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — An accident Friday morning on Interstate 91 South between Greenfield and Deerfield has resulted in a significant traffic jam on that highway. As of 11:10 a.m., traffic was backed up on 91 from near the weigh station to just south of the rotary in Greenfield (Exit 43). Motorists heading south out of Greenfield should avoid I-91 until the scene has been cleared.

UPDATE: As of 11:45 a.m., the crash scene was clear and traffic moving freely.
