SOUTH DEERFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — We have a report of an individual being struck by an Amtrak train at Pleasant Street in South Deerfield Monday afternoon.
The South Deerfield Fire Department says that a medical helicopter has been called in to transport the patient with serious injuries to Baystate Health in Springfield. The individual has not yet been identified.
According to a statement from Amtrak, the train was carrying passengers, none of whom were injured.
