GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — High winds associated with a weather front swept through the area on Sunday afternoon, resulting in a tree and wires being brought down on Wells Street in Greenfield.
Residents of the neighborhood reported a loud booming noise and a brief loss of power. The tree came down across Wells Street toward the intersection of Spruce Street. At least two utility poles were damaged, with a power line draped across the top of an empty vehicle parked off Wells Street.
There have been no reports of injuries. Wells Street is closed between Spruce and Alden Streets.
