Mohawk Trail paving project results in major traffic impacts

GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A paving project on the Mohawk Trail (Route 2) in Greenfield has resulted in major traffic impacts today.

The work is being done on the Mohawk Trail just west of the I-91 rotary. At various times, westbound traffic has been backed up into the rotary and onto the exit ramp from I-91 South heading into the rotary.

Motorists are advised to either avoid the area if possible, or to plan ahead for  expected significant delays.
