More Than One Million Unemployment Claims Filed In Massachusetts

(Boston, MA) Unemployment claims last week, May 3 through May 9,  rose by 44,274. That is a decrease from 10,949 from the week before. Active traditional unemployment claims rose by 3.6% to 576,172. A total of 255,000 claimants have filed for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance.  According to the Massachusetts Department of Unemployment Assistance, more than one million claims have been filed in the state
