MONTAGUE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Police say that a body has been recovered from the Connecticut River near the General Pierce Bridge, which spans the river between Montague City and East Greenfield.
According to Greenfield police, the discovery occurred early Wednesday afternoon by an officer working a detail in that area. Multiple agencies responded to the scene, and the body was pulled from the river.
The Montague Police Department is heading up the investigation, including seeking the identity of the person.
