UPDATE: Route 116 in Sunderland re-opened after accident

SUNDERLAND, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — An accident on Amherst Road (Route 116) in Sunderland Thursday morning closed the roadway for a time. Sunderland police told Franklin County Now that the road was re-opened as of shortly after 9:00.

There have been reports of multiple injuries, as well as cows that were on the loose after the crash.

Franklin County Now will have more information once it has been provided by authorities.
