GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Nurses at Baystate Franklin Medical Center have overwhelmingly rejected Baystate Health’s latest contract offer.
The Massachusetts Nurses Association says 98 percent of nurses voted Wednesday night against what Baystate called its “best and final” proposal. Nurses say the offer does not do enough on staffing, health insurance protections, pay, recruitment and retention.
The union says it wants Baystate to return to negotiations, while nurses continue pushing for changes they say are needed to support safe patient care in Franklin County.
